Admissions

Thank you for your interest in Emet Classical Academy. We look forward to getting to know you and your family and to sharing more about our school, curriculum, and vision of Jewish classical education. Applications for the 2024-25 school year are now available with rolling admissions. As a next step, we invite you to register for an information session and submit an admissions inquiry to schedule a call with our Head of School.

Application Process

Introduce Yourself

As a first step, please submit a brief Admissions Inquiry. You will have the option to sign up for an information session (in-person or on Zoom), to schedule a one-on-one conversation with our leadership team, or to request the complete application.

Apply

After speaking with our leadership team, all appropriate candidates will be asked to submit an application. The application includes:

  • An essay on why Emet is a good fit for your child.
  • Academic records from the current and prior school year.
  • Letter of recommendation from a prior teacher. This should be no longer than two paragraphs and describe the applicant’s academic progress, character, and social development. Overall, this letter should present a holistic portrait of the student.
  • Standardized tests (optional): The ISEE or SSAT is not required, but may be submitted if administered within the last 6 months. Please also submit certified copies of your child’s ELA scores if applicable and any other available standardized test scores.
  • Application fee – $150.

School Visit

Following an application review, candidates will be invited to schedule a two-hour school visit. This visit will include:

  • A tour of the facilities.
  • Family/Personal Interviews. After meeting with parents, the Head of School will interview the student. Both parents are encouraged to attend. This 30-minute appointment helps us get to know your family better and allows you to learn more about our school.
  • Student Assessment. Emet will administer a 60-minute exam on site to gauge the student’s proficiency in reading, writing, and math.

Please allocate approximately two hours for the tour, interviews, and exam.

Admissions Decision

Emet is adopting a rolling admissions process for the inaugural year. All admissions decisions will be communicated within two weeks of the school visit.
